Healing happens in relationship. How we feel in our bodies directly impacts how we experience life.
We all have an innate sense of who we are and what we are capable of. However, during cycles of stress or when life completely falls apart, we often forget who we are. Trauma can send us spiraling back to our former versions of self. We can find ourselves in a perpetuating cycle of self-blaming and doubt, wondering where did we go wrong?
My name is Amanda Snow, and I help people with unresolved experiences and trauma who are battling esteem and regulation issues find completion. Some issues are old, some are new. We cast light on it all, transmuting the pain into power. By applying curiosity vs criticism around your life’s circumstances, we safely explore the inner landscape of your body through somatic psychotherapy. Through the body, a portal to currently understanding yourself on a deep level emerges. Blocks and patterns of self-abandonment are addressed.
My professional development reflects a long-standing commitment to understanding human behavior through rigorous academic study and embodied healing practices.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Sciences and a master’s degree in psychology, with dual tracks in Marriage & Family Counseling and Professional Clinical Counseling.
For nearly twenty years, my work as a massage therapist, yoga educator, and somatic practitioner has deepened my understanding of how emotional experiences live in the body.
This integration of psychotherapy, neuroscience, EMDR, and somatic healing guides session.
Unresolved early experiences often continue to shape how you move through the world today—your relationships, your self-perception, your capacity to trust, and your ability to feel safe.
You may find yourself living with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, or patterns that seem impossible to change. These responses are not signs that something is wrong with you—they are intelligent adaptations created by your nervous system to help you survive.
Healing begins when your mind, body, and relationships are finally given the safety they need to recover. This work is about helping you reconnect with yourself so you can move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and peace.
Somatic Psychotherapy is based on the idea that the body and mind are interconnected and bidirectional. Changes in one can influence the other. Actions of change include enhanced somatic awareness and the resolution of maladaptive self-protective response cycles that show up in body and mind as pain and discomfort.
The re-establishment of safety and relational connectedness is restored. Attunement and trust are created so that you can unfurl from all the lived experiences that bind you.
Together, we create a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust and emotional safety. This foundation allows you to explore experiences while building new resources for healing.
We'll identify nervous system responses, emotional patterns, and attachment dynamics that influence your daily life, helping you recognize and regulate difficult emotions with greater awareness.
Using somatic psychotherapy and EMDR, we'll support your nervous system in processing unresolved experiences so change becomes possible through greater awareness, regulation, and integration.
“Amid destruction (Thanos), there are no substitutes for self-love and self-acceptance. In the process of recreation (Eros), self-worth is nonnegotiable.”
There was a season in my life when everything I believed was secure unraveled. What I discovered is that the end of an important relationship often awakens much older wounds—attachment injuries, abandonment fears, and unconscious trauma waiting to be met with awareness, acceptance, and compassion.
Recovery wasn’t simply about moving on. It meant rebuilding my relationship with myself, grieving what was lost, and discovering a resilience I never knew was possible.
That journey forever changed the way I practice psychotherapy. Through my own healing and years of advanced training in somatic psychotherapy, EMDR, neuroscience, and relational healing, I came to understand that our symptoms are often intelligent adaptations to experiences that once felt unbearable.
Today, it is an honor to walk alongside individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, and the lasting effects of childhood experiences—helping them reconnect with the parts of themselves that have always held the capacity to heal.
But now I know exactly how to help.
“You either walk inside your story and own it, or you stand outside your story and hustle for your
worthiness.”

As your somatic awareness grows, you'll recognize early signs of stress and emotional overwhelm, allowing you to respond with greater intention, awareness, and self-understanding.
Identify unconscious beliefs, attachment wounds, and nervous system responses that shape recurring behaviors and relationship challenges, creating space for healthier patterns rooted in safety.
Healing is more than insight. Through somatic psychotherapy, your body learns to integrate difficult experiences, strengthening resilience, self-trust, and emotional regulation.
